The Salvation Army hosted its annual community Easter egg hunt on Saturday April 7th.
"This is our 7th year holding this event and we had a crowd of about 350 people," said Lieutenant Bethany Burns. The event was for children 12 and under. The overall goal was to bring the community together to introduce the Salvation Army and what it represents.
"We had egg hunting , crafts tables, and face painting," said Dakarai Darby. The Salvation Army hopes to host future events at the Kroc Center which is currently under construction and is located on the Mid-South Fairgrounds
Once the construction is complete, the Salvation Army says the Kroc Center will began their mission to build programs that will provide valuable services for the Memphis community.
